The Board of Anglican Communion Alliance is very pleased to announce that at a meeting on May 11, we elected the Rev. Ajit John as Chair of our Board. Since 2017, the Rev. Dr. David Smith has served as Chair, and we are deeply grateful for the theological depth and vision he brought to that leadership role.
Our Board looks forward to continuing this work of deepening Biblical faith in the Anglican Church of Canada. Fr. Ajit is a priest and a lawyer with an LL.M. in Canon Law from the University of Cardiff in Wales. He has played a key role on ACA’s Board over the last couple of years, with his work on the Legal Opinion being a particular highlight. He also served for over 12 years on the board of Wycliffe College as Chair of the Governance Committee, and currently serves on the Steering Committee of the international Communion Partners. Fr. Ajit, his wife Margaret and their daughter Gabrielle live in Toronto, where he is Associate Priest at St. Paul’s L’Amoreaux.
